My first review doesn't seem t...

If I could give this restaurant a "zero" star rating, I would. My family and I dined there on Christmas eve. The first bad sign was that they still had plenty of tables left. The atmosphere was nice, and we were promptly seated by the pleasant hostess, and given water to drink. The service ended there. There were two obviously overworked servers. One was speedy and attentive; the other seemed to hate her job. We got the latter. As we had already had 15 minutes to decide, we ordered at once. She wrote nothing down. Impressive if you get the order correct, but more on that later. Fifteen minutes later, we received our drinks. Another 15, and we obtained our 2 appetizers we ordered from the sushi bar. The portions were absurdly small for the price, and, being a fan of sushi, the fish had an "off" taste. It took an additional 20 minutes for refills on our drinks, and still no food. Our server then gave us attitude when we made an inquiry, and cast several snide comments our way. I asked to speak with the manager. He or she refused to see us, and instead sent the hostess over to apologize and assure us that we would be taken care of and compensated. When the food arrived, my wife's dish, which was supposed to be chicken, was chicken and shrimp with onions. She is allergic to shellfish and onions and once almost died from an anaphylactic reaction. We sent it back. On the next try, it came with onions. One final try and she received the correct plate. The dishes all seemed like they had been under a heat lamp. Some pieces of the chicken were cooked to a crisp; others were raw in the center. My steak, which was supposed to be medium-rare was cooked beyond well done. After another conversation with the hostess, no offer of compensation was offered. I was seriously considering just walking-out, but I was not raised that way. We are very patient diners, and usually give 25% tips, as the job of server is underpaid and difficult. I have also never written a negative review before. Save yourself bad food, bad service and possible food poisoning, and try Wasabi's just down the road. You will thank yourself.

downtown twist

We were seated promptly (friendly host),atmosphere was ok, waiter was below average, but the food was pretty good,we ordered the combo for two which was hibachi shrimp, chicken and steak for 35.95. soup ( needs improvement) salad was good(great ginger dressing)...But the meal was pretty good overall, meat was tender and seasoned well. except they serve rice and noodles, which I am not crazy about two starches, lacking on the veggies.Only suggestion do away with one starch preferably the noodles and serve more vegetables. Oh! and the waiter also needs abit more training on personality. Manager was very nice and professional.........
