Me and my sister came here on 8/1/20 for a sister outing. The food was fine but it was the 2 big water bugs we didn't like walking around so freely. I ask the waitress for the manager and she said they all where out for lunch, and that she could give us a number to call. I said no we need someone to talk to now. The waitress just laughed and walked away. So if you like bugs this is a good place to go. I don't think we will be going back or recommending this place to anyone.

Just got food to go. Absolutely awful. We have enjoyed eating at The Fish Market since it was Alabama Seafood and have always been very happy with the food. Maybe tonight cook was having a bad night but very very disappointed, especially for the $ I spent.

We have eaten at this restaurant several times, and can only praise every occasion as being superb! The staff is very friendly and helpful and the food is to die for.....Generous portions, authentic greek taste (in our opinion, the greek selections are best) and just overall an excellent place to eat.

I have been going to the fish market resturant since 1989. I belive it is the best value in seafood around town. The owers are very friendly, the food is great, and the service is fast.

I have always wanted to try soft-shelled crabs. Well, I finally did at the 280 Fish Market. All I can say is, if this is how soft-shelled crabs are suppose to taste, then I will never order them again. They were terrible, and that's no exaggeration. I'm not sure how they were seasoned, but saltyish (maybe soy sauce) and even a mild burnt taste would be the best way I can describe them. The 2 crabs I got were also very small, and barely even had a crab taste. (Girl at counter descibed them as being bigger.) They were grilled, by the way. Maybe fried would be better, since fried makes everything taste good, right? - Sides were ok, I guess. My mother had the stuffed shrimp, which also were not very good. The stuffing pretty much tasted like that box stuff...ing. You know, the stovetop type. I know this is not an upscale restaurant, but geez, things can still taste good without it being a white table cloth affair. Not sure I will go back to the Fish Market any time soon, or ever.

Not as good as I had hoped

When I moved to Birmingham so many people raved abou the Fish Market. Maybe that's why I was disapointed because I found it to be just average.
