0I'm Thai and just ame from Thailand. My boyfriend took me to Surin West just so he could impress me with the Thai food. But i'm sorry that this place cannot be called as Thai restaurant. I couldn't feel the taste of Thai food AT ALL! I will never go back there again for sure. I ordered the spicy soup that has got mushroom in it, and I found that the mushroom was not well cooked! I feel really terrible for those who have to eat at this poor quality place. The service was terrible and unpleasant! I DO NOT recommend this place as a Thai restaurant. And as I am Thai, I do not accept this restaurant calling themselves as Thai restaurant.
Surin West has become of one of my favorite restaurants. My family and I like to celebrate special occasions there. Not only is the food outstanding, the customer service is always excellent. The food is cooked to perfection and is reasonably priced. As always I look forward to my experience this month as well.
This Thai restaurant has been a long-standing fixture of Birmingham 5 Points South and is a great destination for good Thai food. Especially good are their chicken coconut soup and curry dishes (chicken panang is one of the best). Also, Surin has the best martinis in town!
