Food? Amazing. Atmosphere? Outstanding. Service? Extraordinary. Butterfly temporary tramp stamp tattoos? UNBEATABLE.

I have to say that I think El Porton is the only Authentic Mexican food in town. I have never had ANY thing there that I did not like. They have the best horchata, enchiladas verdes (de pollo) chicken, Chili Renello tacos are you kidding me... to die for!

the prices are right, and you get large food portions for the money.. and defiantly the best mexican place I've found in bloomington.Service is usually quick and the to-go service is great. food always hot and ready when i pick up.

Although the atmosphere leaves something to be desired, don't let that steer you away. The Molcajeteada is a giant lava bowl with grilled steak, chicken, queso fresca, cactus, & grilled green onions in a lusious sauce. Served with fresh pinto beans & corn tortillas. It can easily feel 3 hungry people. Their homemade salsas and fresh corn chips are served as a free appetizer. The best, authentic Mexican food available in Bloomington/Normal.
