I am a GF vegetarian and was drug to Outback for a work lunch. I had previewed the menu online ahead of time because I knew it would be difficult to find something I could eat. I ordered the Aussie Cobb salad without the bacon, cheese, and croutons, which leaves basically the "Fresh mixed greens," hard boiled eggs, and tomatoes. It came out with a slab of hormone- and antibiotic- laden chicken breast on it so I sent it back before it even hit the table. The waiter was very gracious to make the correction. When the "new" plate came out (hopefully they didn't just take the chicken off and send it back), it was literally white lettuce (the butts) and cherry tomatoes. An $11 "salad" with 2 ingredients, and it didn't even have the mixed greens that the menu described. The next time the waiter came back, I asked if it was supposed to have hard boiled egg on it and he said he would check. When he came back, he informed me they were out of eggs for the day. Mind you, we were there at 11:45am so the place had been open for 45 minutes. Also, if they were out of hard boiled eggs, they should have notified the customer as they were ordering to allow for a chance to ask for a substitution. Not just leave the item off and hope no one notices. The waiter did reduce the price of the salad to $7 and change, which was a good try, but the side salads had more stuff on them and were only $5. Since the side salads don't list the ingredients on the menu, I wasn't comfortable ordering that in the first place because I wouldn't know what to have the kitchen leave off. I realize this is a steak house in Cheyenne, WY which probably the least vegetarian friendly combination one could imagine, but like me, there is going to be someone in a work group or a family member that is going to need a viable alternative. Had my coworker not grabbed the check folder from my hands, I would have left $2 in there for the tip and not paid the bill.

I just have to say we went there 5/19/17 for my birthday. My husband ordered steak shrimp Cesar salad with bake potato. I ordered the 7oz salmon with bacon and a sweet potato. Ap was coconut shrimp. I have to tell you the food was not good. My husbands steak was dry, my salmon was over cooked and the Cesar salad wa all butts of the lettuce. I am just telling g you I will not go back there. Very disappointed on this restaurant and we have eaten at several restaurants. This is by far the worst I have been at.
The services was great very disappointed in the food.

I haven't been in an Outback in years. I thought I'd try them again because they were open on Easter. I was reminded why I haven't been there in so long. The trimmings were great, but, the steak was overpriced, full of grizzle and bland. Maybe I'll try them again in 10 years, but, I doubt it.
