I went to Kutney Automotive on Fields Ertel RD in Loveland, OH to get my car "inspected" an hour and a half before closing. My car had just started to make a horrible rattling noise when braking that was coming from the left back rear tire. They started to "inspect" my car and after 5-10 minutes of my car being brought back to the garage, Michelle told me that the problem was that the "emergency brake shoes needed to be replaced." She told me they didn't have the parts and asked me when I needed the car. I needed it for work the next day and expressed this to her. She told me she would make some calls to see if she could get the parts in. The parts were on their way but wouldn't get in until 5:30pm and they closed at 6pm and it was a "2 hour job". Michelle told me that the problem was NOT a safety hazard and that I could drive to work "No problem" the next day and to just bring it back into the shop whenever I had a chance. On my way to work, the noise started getting worse, and started to make noise even when I was NOT braking. My work is 20 miles away from my home. By the time I got to the parking garage and needed to make a left, my car was stuck and I had to push on the accelerator very forcefully to get it to go. My car consequently got a flat tire. After finding a tow service and getting my car ACTUALLY INSPECTED, the problem with my car was solely a loose bolt on the caliper. The caliper was starting to come loose, eventually started to eat away at my tire and gave me a flat. What could of been an easy job--tightening a bolt, is now turning into a 2 grand fix. This was all due to the lack of detail by Kutney Automotive, and not truly taking the time to inspect my car. From my understanding, you have to completely take apart the tire to even visualize the emergency brake shoes, so for them to even say that was the problem was extremely idiotic. Due to the fact that Michelle even admitted they didn't take apart the tire. If they didn't have the time or decency to truly inspect my car WITH A BRAKE ISSUE WHICH IS A SAFETY HAZARD, then they should of voiced that. I could of brought it to firestone which is open until 7pm, or I could of decided to NOT drive my car until a thorough inspection could of been done. Nonetheless, they proceeded by giving me false information and completely hazardous advice that I should/could/with "no problem" drive my car the next morning. I will never go to Kutney Automotive again
