HORRIBLE PLACE!!!! The first impression I got was when I called to get an appointment. The girl that answered the phone acted like I was bothering her. I could smell attitude through the phone. But I just brushed it off.
First of all, the place looks like an old haunted house from the outside. I wasn't sure if I was at the correct address until I noticed another customer enter the building with his dog.
When I went inside, the girl sitting in the front counter didn't even look up at me. Must have been the same happy girl that answered when I calles. I approached the desk and realized that she didn't look up because she was texting on her cell phone. Not very professional. But again, I brushed it off. Can't judge a book by it's cover right? WRONG!
I brought my dog to be looked at by the doctor for scratching because she gets allergies in the summer. Before the doctor even TOUCHED my dog, he automatically accused my dog of being infested with fleas. Really? My dog does not have fleas!!! I was insulted and had a bad taste in my mouth about this guy. He continued to look at my dog and all he kept talking about was doing a dental on my dog and doing some sort of blood test. Not once did he even mention the reason why I brought my dog in the first place. I just told him that I will think about the dental and give my dog benadryl for her ALLERGIES! Well long story short, I ended up paying $60 to get treated like they didn't want me there and the doctor acting like a complete JERK! All that doctor cared about was selling me flea medication and brushing my dogs teeth. My dog is already on flea medication and I would rather go to a vets office that at least will acknowledge me walking in the door. The place is dirty and the staff is terrible. I would put NO stars for my review, but the site won't allow me to write. Don't waste your time at this place.
NEVER AGAIN!!!!
I've used Camelot for more than 10 years now to board my pets and for veterinary care as well. That's just one of the reasons why I trust them. The vet checks all of the pets before they go back to the boarding area, so I know that not only is my pet getting looked at, but so is everyone elses' and any problems are addressed at that time. The staff is awesome - my dog is always clean and in great shape when I pick him up. I think the best indicator, though, is that my dog is always happy to go back - he recognizes when we make the turn in to the Camelot driveway and he can't wait to get out of the car - I guess he must have fun there playing with his "friends"! Anyway, it gives me peace of mind knowing that he's happy and well cared for when I have to go away. It's a plus that there's always a vet around, too.
I board my 2 dogs at Camelot often and I'm very happy with my experience. It's the only boarding facility I've taken them to where they don't start whining and shaking when we walk in. I'd prefer not traveling without my pets, but feel that they are happy and safe in their care.
Ive been boarding my dogs at Camelot for years now and I think this place is very underrated. My pooches come home happy, healthy, and clean every time. Theres alot to be said for small private boarding kennels, I know "Rocky" and Zsa Zsa" are gettting all the love and attention they could want while Im away. I highly recommend this kennel to anyone looking for their pets to be treated as if they were right at home!
