Unlike any attorney you've ever met.

General Info
No one ever really likes going to see an attorney. It generally means something has gone wrong. Even when someone consults with an attorney for a reason unrelated to a negative event, such as creating an estate plan, the experience often leaves the client less than satisfied. To make matters worse, attorneys generally do not work very hard to help the situation, as often they are difficult to reach, distant in their approach, and even sometimes quite gruff.Going to see an attorney can be difficult, scary, and intimidating, not to mention expensive. Many just try to avoid the experience altogether, even when they truly need legal help. Either they just go without or muddle through on their own with limited success (or not!). It doesn’t have to be that way!My first priority is to take the fear and uncertainty out of talking to a lawyer. I want to make the process as easy as possible. When I am available, I will answer your call (or return it promptly!), and likely even answer a couple of your questions. I will explain how I work, my general procedures, and general costs so there are no surprises for you down the line. I work very effectively over email and social networking sites as well, so it becomes rare that I am difficult to get in touch with.I want to get to know you, too, as part of our association together, as that helps me to be a better counselor to you. While the issues we work on are quite serious and critically important, I believe there is room for levity and collegiality in our relationship. I also understand that, whether you are going through a divorce or creating your estate plan, there will likely be times and topics that are difficult for you to talk about, deal with, and get through. Those situations require an even gentler approach, and the efforts I make to get to know you from the beginning help during these times.
