It employs more than 700 physicians and over 500 nurses. Located in Durham, N.C., the hospital s facility occupies an area of nearly 550,000 square feet. Its rehabilitation institute consists of social workers, pathologists, therapists and dietitians. The hospital s orthopedic surgeons offer treatment for sports injuries and complex spine conditions. Its inpatient psychiatry unit provides diagnosis and psychotherapeutic treatment options for depression, anxiety disorders and schizophrenia. Durham Regional Hospital also offers multidisciplinary wellness programs that include exercise classes, nutritional intervention and psychosocial support.
