For the prices and the way they promote this place you're expecting a one of kind meal, boom their special spices and presentation your only ever to receive is here. We've made better steaks and dishes at home. If you're going to act like a 5 star you must back it. It's not bad food at all don't get me wrong but I get the same thing at any restaurant meaning good n tasty meal. Angelo's in MB now that's a steak you can only get there. Taste, presentation and flavor love it. You want that meal to that makes you prepare for your next trip there. Yo u only eat breakfast next time bc you plan to lick the platter. Not at Chris's but it's still good food just not $50 good.

IMO best steak house in Fayett...

IMO best steak house in Fayetteville. What's not to like? Great hand cut steaks. Great salad bar. Friendly bar and wait staff. Bar is very upscale and you can eat in there or the dining room. Great for business meeting or with friends, sans kids. Not a better place in town to reward yourself after a hectic business day. Not too sure about the pumpkin martini, but hey, you gotta give 'em props for creativity, lol.

We were new to town and were l...

We were new to town and were looking for some good food and company, we were referred to Chris's by friends that frequent there. What a great place! Best kept secret on the Haymount side of town. We have had dinner in the dining room with our favorite server (Kristy) and in the bar with our favorite bartender (Brandy). The service is always great and the food is ALWAYS good!! They know steaks at Chris's and they know how to treat the average diner! We would highly recommend!!!

Don't expect to much

If you want to kill 2 + hours for dinner, do noting having to wait to even be waited on, ignored by the wait staff. Then this is your place the steak is amazing but the sides are over done soggy, the salad bar is wilted. The only good thing is the steak, even then your rolling the dice

very romantic, but not delicious

Ok the atmosphere was really nice and romantic, the service was great........The food was horrible. I ordered the broiled seafood combo, it was extremly bland and my husband got a steak and crab stuffed shrimp, there was noooo flavor and it was extremly overpriced. You may be annoyed thaat they bring you Lance crakers and cheese whiz to start out your meal, but you will soon realize that these are the most flavorful item you will be receiving. I am a great cook, and when I go to a resturant I expect certain things, also their cooking should be better than mine. That was not the case here. Carrabba's is still my favorite place to eat in fayetteville.

Tasty

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with pleasantness. The restaurant is quite nice. We showed up early for our party (before 5 pm) and went to the bar. The bartender was not open yet and looked quite busy, but stopped to greet us with a great smile anyway. Brandie made us a couple of her favorite martini's and they were tasty!! She showed us the new patio to accomodate smokers. Beautiful!! We had good conversation until our party arrived. Our server greeted us as we sat at his table. Quick to get our drinks to us and take our order. We started with the salad bar and it was good. Shortly after our filets arrived and were cooked to perfection. Our friend ordered seafood and said it was delicious as well! We were way too full to try desert, but it looked good too! Overall I would recommend this restaurant to anyone craving great food, drinks, and service. Thanks to Brandie, Foster, and the owners( i think it was Greg that stopped by)! We will be back!

Second visit to Chris's

A mouthful of carcinogenic meat. I concur with previous comments. Great atmosphere! Saltines and cheese whiz is disappointing. Salad bar is not impressive. If I want a steak done my way, I'll simply do it on my grill, if I want to take my girlfriend out to wine and dine, we'll go to Logan's or Texas Steak House... A1 Steak Sauce could not have ever helped the steaks I've had at Chris's.

What Happens To Cows who Smoke? They end up at Chris's Steak House

Love atmosphere, attentive server, and amazing restroom ( important to women!) First booth I ever sat in that was actually comfortable! Downsides, small cumbersome salad bar ( not sure if they use a machete on the cucumbers but hey..what did they ever do to you?) I'm not a huge snob when it comes to restaurants but for fine dining to start out with wrapped saltines crackers? That was disappointing, only after about 10-15 mins where the rolls offered. I love steak and being a steak house I really looked forward to the first bite...cooked perfectly medium rare...yes...but the taste...awful..not sure if this was one of those aged steaks, but it was something I could not even finish ( thank God now for those wrapped crackers) I suspect they use liquid smoke or the cows had a smoking habit in lifeDon't bother with the twice baked potatoes, order the baked and doctor it up for yourself.I can't speak for the rest of the entrees, I hope they are more fitting of the establishment's hype.

Chris's Open Hearth Steak House

Got a free gift certificate and dinned at Chris's tonight. Nice setting and atmosphere... Salad bar was OK (see Jason's Deli for high marks on a salad bar)... THE STEAK WAS COOKED RIGHT, BUT SMELLED/TASTED LIKE CHARRED MEAT (not sure why a good steak should taste like burnt liquid smoke). Our dog's got the bulk of the STEAK meal.Texas Steak House will continue to get my money when I pay for a steak dinner. Peanuts and hot, fresh bread rolls will always get my vote over Saltine crackers and Cheeze Whiz upon arrival.Chris's is marked on my "Do Not Return List".

Yummy!

My husband just went to Chris's the other night and as always, the food was delicious. I had the Broiled seafood platter and a greek salad. Delicious! My husband had the New York Strip which is now Certified Angus and an Ice Wedge salad. We had great martini's, great service, and an all around good time! I would definitely recommend Chris's Steak House to everyone!!!

Great Food & Service

If you are looking for a restaurant with great food, atmosphere, and service try Chris's. They have one of the best salad bars in town...and speaking of bars, theirs is a great place to go hang out before you have dinner..relaxed, social and fun! Full service bar with great bartenders....

Very disappointing, will never return, nor recommend to anyone!

The decorating was very nice, but everything else about our experience was horrble. My husband ordered a T-bone, could not have possibly been a USDA prime or choice cut, it was mostly fat and grissle, and was not even cooked near medium as he ordered, but rare at best. There was absolutley not justification for charging $26 for it, and when he complained all they offered to do was refire it, he had only taken four bites, and asked them to just take it away because refiring it would have dried it out (which they should know as a steakhouse) and there was not any meat left on what they claimed to be a T-bone...the rest was all grissle and fat! So they took $6 off and we had to pay $20 for four bites of meat. My steak was tough and the kids' chicken tenders were extremely salty, so we paid $84 for extremely slow service and food that my husband and children didn't eat..I choked down about half of mine becuase I felt bad we were being charged so much for such horrible food and service

Worth every penny.

Chris's Steak House was the best dining experience. Our cocktails were perfect, appetizers, excellent and our prime rib, the best we've ever had!!! The service was on key and the owners were great! They are actually cut and cook all the steaks...amazing! I would highly recommend this establishment.

Valentines Special

I knew we were in trouble when I saw the parking lot full. However the wait was worth it. Fine food served by professional wait staff make the evening very pleasant. If you're looking for fine dining in Fayetteville look no further. Chris's is the place to be
