Horrible! Do NOT hire this lawyer! She does not return calls, she is unethical. I have filed a complaint with the bar association. She was 2 hours late for my hearing and never informed me of anything. Called her for 2weeks straight with no return calls, then I hired another attorney. Barb Dawes. U have been warned. Julie doesn't deserve a star I can't believe she is in business

Where do I begin? Julie was hired to be the IMPARTIAL mediator in our custody dispute during our divorce. I paid a $500 fee for her mediation services. It turns out she is friends with my ex-husband and did NOT disclose this information when she took the case. She pretended to listen to both sides and come up with an unbias custody schedule that was best suited for my child. While presenting herself as a professional she was actually communicating with my ex via phone and in person regarding our mediation. She spoke to him and offered advice on how to get what he wanted in regards to custody. She communicated with him before and after our meetings as a group and she actually had the nerve to tell me that we all had to be together if we were going to discuss any issues. When I had questions regarding her proposed schedule she failed to return my calls. She is unethical, fraudlent and I am pretty sure her actions are criminal. I will be filing charges against her.

Julie helped me get full custody of my children, being the father it wasn't easy. Thankfully she was there and through her guidance, I was not only able to get full custody, but child support too. I would highly recommend her.

I have used Julie to represent me for the past 15 years in a nasty case involving my child. My former husband tried to get custody away from me for years. When she took over my case from another attorney, I only had supervised visitation. I have had custody for 14.5 years now and my child is going to college this fall. I was not happy with this lawyer. Used her for a custody matter and was not happy with the communication (or lack of) and our results in the cusotdy matter. She is not that wonderful as far as I can see. The kicker is she came highly recommended from a friend but maybe custody matters are not her strong suit. The friend used her for a divorce w/children though so I don't know...

I would not recommend her. Initially, she said our case looked good (parenting time issue) but as soon as we paid our retainer, her story changed. I do not think she was honest with us when we consulted her and I do not think she was a good advocate for us when we got into the actual negotiations with the other party. After our retainer was worked off, right in the middle of negotiations, she tried to say she could not effectively represent us. Yeah, well we did not have $1500 + laying around, not to mention the time to obtain another lawyer. She ended up staying on the case but I do not think she pressed it hard enough. Basically we were railroaded into mediation with the other party, who is unreasonable and cannot be negotiated with. Also, Julie does not return calls or emails. We had to keep trying to contact her. Family law is hard, and a losing battle for the fathers but I do not think this lawyer is very effective. Look for someone else! I wish we had. NO STARS!

She is a true fighter and defender of your situation. Very positive, experienced in family law matters, compassionate and caring. She produced very positive results for me in my divorce situation which was VERY sticky and ugly. She knew what she was doing! I knew I could rely on Julie for the right answers and trusted her judgement completely.
