I was looking for a Mother of the Groom dress - didn't have any idea what style, color, etc. I wanted. Beverly picked out 10 dresses for me to try on - The first dress I tried on was "it" Loved it. Have two daughters - close to getting engaged - would bring my girls for wedding dresses -- Everyone was so help!!. Eileen F

I have been to several bridal shops in Connecticut and by far, Julie Allen Bridal is the best. They have such an inviting and friendly atmosphere. I was so concerned about looking too curvy because of my hips but they asked me what I was looking for, I told them what I liked and what I didnt like. She picked out the perfect dress for me. Then spent so much time with me trying on dozens of tiaras and actually talked to me like a person not just a sale. I felt so comfortable there and wasnt being pressured at all. They even stayed late to facilitate my needs. By far the best Connecticut has to offer!! So happy to be getting my dress from such a caring and personable shop!

Do not go to Julie Allens!! My family had so many problems there: First off the staff is so rude, whether it was on the phone or in person they had no people skills. When we went for our bridesmaid dress fitting they insisted on ordering a dress for me that was three sizes too big even though the size ten that the had was too big on me they made me order a 14. Ok fine I thought, I'm not going to cause problems for my sisters wedding, they want my money for alterations then they can have it. Then I made my first alteration appointment, I was never told that I would have to come back on the SAME day of the week. Well I happened to go on a Wednesday for my first appointment, I didn't have another Wednesday off and can't take a day off to try on a dress. I called several times to try to find another time to get my second fitting but they would not let me do it any other day so finally two weeks before the wedding they let me pick it up and it was huge of course

At first this looks like a Bridal Dress Salon...nice atmosphere, good selection (though you cannot see the bridal gowns:-(), but the worst customer service ever!If you want a quality service that is professional you need to look elsewhere. As a bride you will not be able to rest if you get your wedding gown or bridesmaid dresses are ordered from here. They are not responsible and could care less about your satisfaction.
