With offices in Oakland, Hayward and Concord, Rick Baskin Specializes in litigation on behalf of plaintiffs in personal injuiry claims, wrongful death, auto accidents, products and premises liability, industrial accidents and medical malpractice. Mr. Baskin has obtained many large verdicts and settlements for his severely injured clients, including a recent settlement of $4.85 million in a wrongful death case, a settlement of $1.7 million in a brain damage case, and a settlement of $ 1.4 million in a premises liability case. He has obtained large verdicts including a $3.75 million dollar verdict. He has written and lectured extensively on the subject of civil trial practice and is a contributing author of two-volume reference manual. Mr. Baskin, a past President of Alameda/Contra Costa Trial Lawyers Association, served for 10 years on the board of governors of Consumer Attorneys of California, 3 years as a Director of Alameda County Bar Association (ACBA) and 2 years as Chair of the ACBA Trial Practice Section. He is on the faculty of Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College. Mr. Baskin holds the highest rating from Martindale Hubbell and is listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. Since 2006, he has been named a "Super Lawyer" by Law and Politics Magazine.
