I was referred to the amazing Lauren Cornell of Specht Physical Therapy by my chiropractor, Dr. Ellen McNally. Lauren helped me immensely to strengthen and stretch weak areas that contributed to my muscle pains, knots, and numbness. I am not an athlete but I like to play one when I'm in the gym. I tend to lift heavy and not always with perfect form. Lauren helped coach me it's okay to lift heavy but also use lighter weights to work smaller muscle groups while working on better form. Lauren used several tools and techniques to discover where my issues were and was very good at explaining what we were doing and why we were doing it. We made videos with great coaching advice and technique so I could practice outside of the office. Lauren is a very pleasant and fun person to be around. She made each session informative and a positive experience. I was encouraged to email with questions and to try my best even if I did not always get it right the first try. I will definitely work with Lauren at Specht Physical Therapy the next time my body decides to betray me. I would highly recommend Lauren and Specht Physical therapy. If you live and or work in Providence it is very conveniently located inside Momentum Fitness on South Main Street. A short walk from Downtown and the local colleges.
