My puppy needs surgery for a hernia and the website says that surgery is by appointments only. I have called up to 20 times in the last two days (Wednesday and Thursday, so I know the office is open) and left a voicemail, which they never responded to. It's hard to make an appointment when the office staff never answers the phone. I'm planning to actually drive over there in order to make this appointment. This is absolutely ridiculous. The only reason I'm continuing with the Ramona Animal Clinic is because their prices are cheaper than other Vets.

Dr. Hawkins, the director of OC Animal Care, saw sickly kittens I was fostering for OC. One kitten was lethargic, the other had a prolapsed rectum. Upon dropping off the kittens at OC for a check-up, I told the coordinator, if the kittens needed medical care that was outside the shelter's budget, to call me, & I would take the kittens to my vet for care. Dr. Hawkins looked at one kitten and euthanized it on the spot. Never called me, giving me the chance to get the kitten treatment. She recommended euthanizing the second kitten too, but I managed to get it out of her care and into the hands of a vet, who did a minor procedure to fix the kitten's prolapse. The kitten is now thriving. Dr. Hawkins is very cavalier about euthanasia, and let the cost of treatment decide the end result. She is heartless and a poor communicator, and she killed a sweet kitten for being underweight and lethargic. I wouldn't bring any animal for Dr. Hawkin's care, under ANY circumstances.

dON'T EVER ADOPT A DOG FROM HERE THEY STEAL DOGS LIKE THEY STOLE MINE AND ARE RE-SELLING THEM BETWEEN $97-400. RHESE PEOPLE ARE CRIMINALS AND SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.THEY COULDN'T POSSIBLY BE HUMANE IF THEY CHARGE OVER $100 TO RETURN A DOG TO HER RIGHTFUL OWNERS.
