FABULOUS Mexican food and incredible breakfasts - such good food, good sized portions and great prices. Can't ask for more! Thanks to brother-in-law for gift certificate to Poco & Mom's or we may never have tried it - now we go all the time!

This is a hidden gem on the Eastside. Genuine New Mexican food. The chile rellenos are the best I've had in Tucson. Lots of cheese, nicely battered and real Hatch chiles. The green chile chicken enchiladas are also excellent. They serve complimentary chips and salsa. The staff is great. Friendly and welcoming. Services is excellent. The cooks usually check with me as I'm leaving to make sure I enjoyed my meal. They've expanded their hours to evenings recently and also have a drive up window, so you can take your Mexican food fix home. Poco and Mom's also caters events. I'll probably hate myself for recommending it, because if it becomes too popular, I won't be able to get in without waiting in line, but I'd be willing to wait in line for their food.

New Mexican Food in Tucson

This little hole in the wall restaurant has continued to serve Tucson with great tasting New Mexico style Mexican food since it moved from the location on Pima st years ago. The Green chile sauce is outstanding and always has a nice kick to it. The portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable. Try the Green Chile chicken enchiladas for a real treat.

A local favorite of mine

Consistently good food with New Mexico slant to flavorings. Excellent sopapillas (hard to find in Tucson). Good breakfasts. Might look like a "hole-in-the-wall" but definitely worth eating there. Absolutely no atmosphere except after the second visit, you will be treated like family.

not that great of service

The food is always excellent. But unfortunately the service is horable. Ive been going to this restaurant for years. I finally had it with the rude waitress I got one morning and wont go back. I simply asked her for a clean coffee cup because the table that I had just sat at was dirty. She felt that my cup that was sitting in food from the previous customers was good enough. When I had asked her to get me a clean one she said "The cups on the tables are all we have. I said I'm leaving and she is like why? well I think you could of washed a cup for me. She smirked at me and unfortunately I will not go back. I will miss the food but not the bad service.

The best decision I ever made!

Went through the drive-thru and received fast, friendly service. The Carne Asada Burros were of a unique and seasoned taste like no other I've tasted at any other restaurant here in the Tucson area. Definitely not a generic Tex-Mex place like several of the local restaurants. If you are looking for a treat and a place that's above most Mexican restaurants then try Poco and Mom's. You'll never want to eat anywhere else again! ENJOY!!!
