The prices were more than fair, the service was fast and the reliability has been phenomenal. It's been about 6 months since I've had all the work done and never had to go back. They helped me find the part, used some that I brought in and gave me a great deal on everything. I recommended a co-worker there because I enjoyed my experience so much and it was shared just the same.
First glance gives you a bit of a weary feeling of the building, BUT don't let looks deceive you! The owner is very friendly and the service is great. I had my car in there for a manual transmission replacement along with a new clutch install with a few other various things while in there.
These people were friendly, fast and extremely fair on the price for a transmission filter replacement and fluid top-off. The owner took my truck in right away without an appointment and had the work done in 3 hours. I will bring my other cars here for service and recommend others as well.
I feared the worst, but got my Dodge fixed here for under $300.00. Joe explained my problem in a way that I actually understood.

I was shocked when I found out what a new transmission would cost for my Corolla. A friend recommended Pro Transmission and I am glad they did! They found a low milage used transmission for me and that got me back on the road at a price I could afford!
My sons Honda civic broke down in New Haven. Shop 1 said it needed a transmission. Had it towed a short way to the Honda dealer. Dealer said it needed a transmission. "Something must have let go" $2200 for a junk yard used or $4400 for a Honda rebuilt. Worried about repairing so far away and warranty work, I took a chance and had it towed for $350 up to the PRO's in Worcester. Read so many great reviews that I felt I would get a fair price and quality work. Well, I was shocked when two hours after looking at it, Joe called to tell me it was all set! Turns out it was a wire from an O2 sensor that slipped off a clip and blew a fuse! Total cost $110!!! They knew I expected to have to replace the transmission, but instead were skilled, honest and only repaired what it needed.
I highly, highly recommend this shop for transmission or clutch problem repair. I cannot praise them enough.
