I have decided to write this review because I was so thoroughly impressed with Dr. Jang and my overall experience. I had some unpleasant dealings with dental visits in the past so I was looking for a new dentist and feeling quite nervous after not having had a check up in over 2 years. But I am so pleased with my choice to give Newton Dentistry a try!

To begin with, the entire staff at The Dental Group was friendly, professional, and went out of their way to welcome me as a new patient. Dr. De Francesco made me feel at ease right away. She took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. I never felt rushed. She and her staff did such a thorough job throughout my check up/x rays/cleaning and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. Dr. Jang has that gift of combining an obvious expertise in her field while also showing a great deal of empathy to her patients.

Dr. Jang was the first dentist I chose when moving to the City. I originally worked right across the street and chose her out of convenience. In the long run, I'm glad I did. I absolutely love their office and the team. If you're looking for a great dentist, Dr. Jang is the way to go.

Amazing! Going to the dentist can be this pleasant. Where do I start? How about on time appointment.... Pleasant and friendly check in, all digital check-in, touchless. Josh is super friendly, made small talks that makes you feel comfortable and get settled in, cleaning was done efficiently and yes the dentist herself did the cleaning not some hygienist. X-Ray check up was thorough and and the dentist took her time to explain the findings, which was nice. Billing was covered by major insurance. Everything was spot on. One of the best dentist in Waltham and Newton.

Dr. Jang is a wonderfully kind Dentist. She takes great care to make her patients feel comfortable in the chair. Her staff is very friendly and welcoming and I have never had to sit in the waiting room for more than 5 min! She values your time as much as hers. That is very hard to find in a Doctor.

I cannot imagine how a dentist could be better than Dr. Jang. I had not been to the dentist for over 12 years until recently. I made an appointment at Dr. Jang's office only because of the proximity of her office to where I work. Only after the appointment was made did I bother to read the glowing reviews that have already been posted about her. Those reviews, however, still did little to assuage my fears of the dentist. I went in for a routine cleaning and found Dr. Jang to be exceedingly kind. She was not condescending or overly critical about my years of dental neglect. Instead she simply encouraged me to begin to get on the right track now. After discovering that I had numerous cavities (a fact I already knew) she set up an appointment with me to come back. Even in this regard, Dr. Mitchell was extremely accommodating as she made sure to work with my hectic schedule to find an appropriate date.

The thought of having five cavities repaired filled me with dread. Of course, just about everyone is afraid of the dentist, but my fear was such that over the course of more than decade I had put this act off even though I was covered by insurance most of that time. I contemplated cancelling my appointment, but didn't--in large measure because Dr. Jang had worked with me to find the right time for my appointment and had seemed so reassuring before. Its also worth mentioning that her staff was equally courteous and accommodating.

The day arrived and mild panic ensued. But this panic was completely unnecessary. I felt no pain during the entire procedure...nothing. Dr. Jang was punctual, kind and informative. She described each portion of the procedure to me as she completed it. It was quick and painless. Of course the sound of the drill was unavoidable, but I never felt it. Most importantly, I never smelled that horrible stench of burning teeth that immediately fills me with dread. I expected to endure tremendous pain as punishment for my years of ignoring my responsibility to take care of my teeth. Instead, I had an excellent experience and now I have overcome a significant hurdle.

Today, the day after my appointment, I feel fine and I have been telling everyone that, if they need to go to the dentist, they should go to Dr. Jang. I go back next week to get more cavities repaired (I had nine total). I don't expect any different results from that visit, however, and I feel much more comfortable with the entire process thanks to Dr. Jang and her staff.

I just recently switched to Dr. Jang and couldn't be happier. She was thorough, gentle, informative, and on time for the appointment (which is a big plus in my book.)

She explained to me exactly what she was doing and priced out the different options with the insurance while I was on the chair so that I could make an informed decision. Best of all, she kept telling met that if for any reason I was unhappy with anything, it was no big deal to come back to her and she would adjust whatever I needed. She definitely deserves 5 stars.

I know how scary the idea of a visit to the dentist can be for most people. I wouldn't consider myself one of these fearful people but going to the dentist certainly isn't on my list of favorite things to do. Dr. Jang and her staff however have made each and every single visit pleasant and painless. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and seem genuinely concerned with my level of comfort. In the past I've had dentists that come across like know-it-all's who are just interested in making money. Dr. Jang has never tried to push any treatments that seemed unnecessary. I have also recommended her to many of my friends and co-workers in the city who always seem to complain about the prices and shady business practices of their dentists.
