About Us: Asakusa Japanese Restaurant is the first sushi bar in Fort Wayne, Indiana. We feature various sushi items, also traditional Japanese cuisine. Our menu offers a variety of traditional Japanese foods from teriyaki to tempura. We have lunch and dinner menus. All of our recipes use the freshest fish, poultry and vegetables to create the best tasting foods. Our highly trained sushi chefs can prepare all of your favorite sushi. Further, our main kitchen can cook that Japanese dish that will make you hungry for more. I can't say enough good things about this place. The first time I went in I was nervous, as I don't eat any seafood. My fiancee on the other hand loves it. Much to my amazement, there is no fishy smell, even when sitting at the sushi bar. The food is excellent. I have always ordered from a select group of the menu, but no matter what I get it is great. The sushi rolls are done right when ordered, making custom ordering possible. The service in this restaurant is spectacular. Several of the waitstaff recognize us and great us personally. That will make me a customer of Asakusa as long as I live in this area.

While the food is Amazing and the service is generally good, the wait times are long and I've had them cancel reservations out from under me because a larger party wanted the time I had previously reserved.
Service and Chefs have always been superb. Asakusa has become my favorite luncheon spot, and the prices are good during lunchtime too.

This place is great! I've been to Japan several times and this place is as close to the authentic food I loved in Japan.

My 2 favorites are Crunchy Maki and the Catepillar Roll. Both huge and delicious....yum!!

This is the only one Classical Fancy Japanese restaurant I ever seem in Fort Wayne.
Service is fabulous, and food has no complain at all. Genuine Japanese food with steak, sushi, grill meat, tofu soup, squid ring....., oh, you can't wait to go back again and again. The price is fair, the parking never have problem.
Even place is little too small, but I never wait too long to get seat.

The BEST sushi in Fort Wayne. Excellent chefs with creative dishes. Fine fresh fish.
Very nice place with a great sushi menu. Very hard to get in for lunch.
