In my family "Tony can fix" is something I've grown up with since Tony worked for Frank's Garage at the corner of Mt Vernon and Commonwealth. Likewise at Tony's Gulf Service. At still today, larger, more efficient, quicker, and always, just what the car needs. We've been around Tony long enough to say we love Tony!

This is just a wonderful garage. Honest and low cost. and they know what they are doing! I have been a fleet manager and for many years I went only to the dealers for our Acuras and Infiniti. When the length of the trip and the cost of the service was finally too high, we tried local garages were OK, but as expensive as the dealers and who really weren't very good.

Service was timely and work done right the first time. They could have started the state inspection I request and charged me for it, but told me (right away, before formally starting) when it was going to fail and need some in-depth, make-specific work from a dealer.

I first went to Tony's in 2013 and they did an amazing job, fixing my car. Their prices were better than other places I talked to, and they didn't try to sell me on things I didn't need. I've since moved across town and earlier this year went to a dealership for repair work instead of Tony's. What a mistake! I was asked to buy parts that didn't even belong in my car, and frankly I didn't know better. I had a gut-feeling something was off so I brought my car back to Tony's and they told me what was really wrong (which saved me from wasting nearly $2k!) and had me out the door in a few hours.

We went to a Chev dealer that told us we needed all kinds of work done almost $2000 of work to fix our truck. We went in to Tony's and spoke with Mike! I explained everything to Mike and he told me let us take a look at the truck. They fixed the problem for $600. All of the other work that the dealer said needed to be done was not true!!! Dealers are a ripe off! Tony's stood behind there work when the part was defective and replaced it again with no problem! Mike was very helpful and great customer service. People please remember they are a good shop, so it may take a little longer, but at least they do a good job and stand behind there work!

These guys do a lot of work: hired cars, airport shuttles, buses, Bentleys and guys like me who live nearby. I go there because I can drop the car off and walk home but I have never gotten anything fishy from them. They have even refused to do work when I had a symptom that wasn't worth worrying about. They have taken care of my Saturn for years and gave a thumbs-up to the used Acura I just bought, saying it should provide me years of inexpensive driving.

Needed the VA inspection on a car from 96 that I wasn't interested in sinking a lot of money in. The dealership came up with a laundry-list of things, at $2000+. Mind you, I had just had a lot of work done out of state before moving to VA, so I didn't buy it. Took it to Tony's as recommended by a friend.. I needed a new light bulb. Done. Definitely going to be my car place as long as I live in the area.

This is the best garage in the metro area period. Best value, best service, expert repairs. There is a reason why people drive hundreds of miles to have their cars serviced at Tony's....Excellence!! Bravo Tony!

Can't beat the convenience to the Metro. If you need to rent a car while yours is down, Reagan National is one stop away and has car rental counters available. Tony's price and service were both quite reasonable and there was no attempt to skip on the diagnosis or to upsell work not needed. Another thing worth mentioning, although there is major residential construction nearby, the owner assured me that Tony's had no plans to sell or offers to buy out their business, so they will be around for the foreseeable future.

I'm the daughter of a 40 year certified mechanic. I have always watched and listened to what he could tell me with regard to cars. This place always does right by me. They are helpful and not pushy. Taking my car in to the shop always leaves me anxious, but at least I know my car and I are in good hands.

Mike, Ed and the owner's son, Tony make up a part of an exceptional crew at Tony's. Very professional, will not sell you what you do not need and every repair is done right at far less expense than the dealer or most shops. You can trust these guys! Family owned and operated and they stay in business by offering great customer service.

Not only does Tony's have the best customer service (everyone is always so helpful and courteous, and Mike at the front desk walks me out to my car if I pick it up after sundown), but also it's convenient to drop off my car on my way to work, since the Braddock Road Metro stop is just 2 or 3 blocks away, and then pick it up on my way home. I get all my oil changes and safety/emissions inspections performed here!

A friend recommended I take my '99 Toyota truck here after I got a repair quote from Springfield Toyota which literally took my breath away. First they told me I didn't need half the work the dealership told me I did and then they fixed the problem for a fraction of the cost. I saved literally hundreds of dollars, my truck is running fine again and you can't really ask for more than that.



This place looks like an old garage you'd find on a back road, run by a couple of good ol' boys, and that's basically what it is. These guys, however, know Toyotas as well as they do Chevys and they won't do you wrong. I'm going to keep coming back.

Went here for a state inspection yesterday. Everyone was so pleasant,and friendly. I would definitely go back for any needed repairs.
