The staff always is to busy to help my sister, they gave her meds to keep her quiet, she was having trouble communicating and no one would sit and listen to her or help her to call home we found her phone in her hand many times and ask the staff to help her call us but they never had the time. She pick up a blood infection from there and died in there care, we know it was from them because she was tested the first day there and was clean and two weeks later was positive. Overall we were very unhappy with there care as my mother and I could not be there at all times and because my sister could not communicate I feel the just deserted her. Even when were there we couldn't get a nurse or doctor to come and see her with in a hour somethimes three. the place is dirty the nurses sit their desk and laugh all day not help at all. My sister hated it there wish we had set her somewhere else. One night her chest tube was accidently removed by a nurse, no explanation just a sorry.

After hours staff does not actively monitor patients .i have witnessed them using their personal technology (ie. Cellphones & music players). Nothing gets documented when you make a complaint to nurses.it seems they do not have any compassion for patient or family. This is my experience prior to my father's death at the hospital.
