KBS only cares about the bottom dollar, a friend of mine told me that, but I refused to really believe it until my house was taken from me, not willing to make our home affordable after a financial reversal in health and a switch of jobs. Fine on the surface, but when a real disaster arrives, friendly community bank ! How many times I cried day and night, I had to find homes for all my animals I dearly loved. I had a tumor, my husband has diabetes, he had to get a different job, in one ear and out the other. Compassion, Big Check for Habitat for Humanity and for us? You never really know until disaster strikes and then you find out sometimes only too quickly. Nothing is totally ever yours until it is paid for. I now have a lien attached to a home I'm renting for over $50000, I have a furnace that needs to be replaced and someday I'll get it repaired, winter is coming and they thought we owned it just because we were honest and paid our taxes like we should. There is always two sides to every quarter, which side are you on.

The Kennebec Savings Bank is a local favorite bank for many many good good reasons. One day i put $100. in cash in an envelope and stuck it in the overnight box with just my last name on the envelope. The clerk called every single Caldwell on her roster before she found me, with a carefully worded quiz. One day the Loan Officer refused a loan to me with three hours (3 hours) because i couldn't afford it. I have loved the bank to this day for that prompt and wise advice. The 'fees' for services are so low that many of them do not exist, in the face of other banks who absolutely gouge for goods (the checks) and services. I. Love. This. Bank.

You will not find a better bank... anywhere! The staff is so friendly and helpful. KSB provides great service and online banking, and the bank does SO much for the community as well. I'm always telling friends to move accounts to KSB. When you call, you will always get a live human being to talk to when you need help!! I know I sound like a commercial, but I'm just a real customer, who appreciates true customer service - it's hard to find these days.
