TERRIBLE staff! Unbelievably rude when I call to get info about bill. Condescending! Consistantly want to perform additional tests that I am not there for, and that my insurance won't pay for! When I try to dispute this, I am treated like I have no say in the type of care that my child receives. I WILL NOT GO BACK.

...[continued]... So first comes the assistant with her tests... and arrives at a random number for visual acuity. Then Dr. Busse confirms the numbers and mentions that my child has Amblyopia...REALLY??!! without any tests? All he did was spray dialation liquid on my child's eyes and look through a hand held score and then all of a sudden came up with the diagnosis?? I asked for how he concluded that, he mentioned that God made my child that way and other such stuff. Anyway, I immediately knew to get a second opinion and I did that from a Pediatric Optometrist. The Optometrist was nice and we told her the history and how we wanted second opinion.... which she provided and then did detailed eye exam and she mentioned with confidence that she doesn't see ANY signs of Amblyopia and then she mentioned what she was looking for and how my child didn't qualify for that (Amblyopia) diagnosis... Phew!! All in all - Please don't waste your time at Dr. Busse's ... go somewhere else!

was referred to him by our primary care. He was good, but his staff is RUDE! our dr wanted an apt ASAP the earliest they had was 2 1/2 months out and I asked them if they could schedule us for their waco apts because i would be willing to drive that far if it meant we would get in sooner. but the receptionist said no. Went in and only spent 10 min seeing him. didn't even do an eye exam....

Dr. Busse is AWESOME!!!!! My children have been seeing him for years. We return every year for their anual checkups. My daughter has a lazy eye & my son has small tear ducts. Dr. Busse & his staff have always been great! COME SEE HIM YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

This is the best eye doctor. My child has been seeing him for 10 years! No complaints. He is a very patient dr. Thank you Dr Busse for doing his eye surgery!

My 4 yr old daughter has a fairly serious abscess in her eye. I called the office in order to set up an appointment on the advice of our pediatrician. After explaining how serious her situation is (it's not responding to medication), the receptionist told me that the doctor was booked through September. I asked at what point they would make an emergency appointment, to which she replied - uh, probably not. you can call every day if you want to see if there are cancellations. I can't speak to the quality of the doctor - but his staff was completely unprofessional and totally not compassionate. I realize that specialists have long waiting lists, but I just can't understand how a receptionist can tell me that nothing can be done for a 4 yr old for over 2 months.

Great doctor! He is very patient. I would recommend him to anybody who needs a pediatric ophthalmologist.

Excellent doctor! I recomment Dr. Busse to anyone who needs a pediatric ophthalmologist in central Texas. He really takes time to explain everything and is very patient with questions. Also, I've never had a problem with a rude staff member. Everyone I've talked to has been very nice.

staff is rude! Dr. Busse is too laid back for me. This is my child's eye! A big deal! Again staff is VERY RUDE!!!
