After seeing a few suggestions for German Car Repair, in Apharetta, I wound up using them to PPI a '99 C2 Cab that I was interested in. I flew down for the PPI yesterday am.I had a great experience with Alan Kidson (owner) and Jerry Weiden (their Porsche Master Mechanic). Beautiful shop, friendly, accommodating service. They worked with the seller to schedule the work (the seller sent it in by towtruck) and agreed to hold it in the shop over the weekend for pickup Monday.Unfortunately, the PPI ended almost as soon as it began, with a number of issues identified right off the bat. Before going any further, Alan and Jerry brought me out to discuss the issues, their required or potential solutions (some of these items were not fully diagnosed, but simply identified) and to make a determination to stop right then and there (at no cost to me) or to continue. I chose not to continue, the car was not what I expected. They had no horse in the race and could easily have gone through the whole process without giving me the option. They appear to be straight shooters and professional. I'd certainly recommend them to anyone looking for a PPI in the Atlanta area. So, a big emotional roller coaster (I woke up yesterday like a kid at Christmas), a waste of my hard earned frequent flier miles on a pretty last minute trip, but I took the opportunity to check out 4 other cars in the area after the aborted PPI, got a bit of an education, and found another likely candidate that I may send them.

These guys know what they are doing.

I have been taking my fleet of BMW's to Alan for several years now. His lead BMW Technician (Wael) is an amazing diagnostician. They always go out of their way to make my experience enjoyable. They make complicated issues with the car(s), understandable to the everyday person. Their pricing is always very competitive, and there are never any surprises. They always give a "heads up" on upcoming maintenance...and never try to push service that is not truly necessary. I trust no one else to maintain my cars. If it is service work you need on your German car....these are the guys to go see!!!

I've trusted Alan and the crew to my BMWs for a couple of years now and have had nothing but great service from them. Doesn't matter it's factory recommended maintenance or modifications, I know my cars are in good hands. Plenty of repair shops in town claim to have the best technicians around, but with Alan, Wael, Jeff et al and their knowledge of all things German and automotive, they really are top notch. Highly recommended!

A Trustworthy Merchant! I live intown and have been dealing with a local independent shop for many years. Just bought a used Benz, and after a $750 repair on my steering (that I knew was needed), I noticed a knocking noise in the suspension when going over relatively small bumps, that was not there pre-repair. My frustration led me to find and then contact German Car Repair in Roswell. Found them on the web (informative website by the way) and had a phone conversation with the owner, Alan Kidson, who worked me into the schedule on short notice on a Friday. After a reasonable wait, my anxiety left me as Alan presented me with a very small repair bill for tightening some loose bolts! I was impressed by the urgency that these guys brought to looking into my problem, and then fixing it without drama. This was a situation in which a less professional (and honest) shop could have easily taken advantage of the situation for a larger, unnecessary job. Glad I found GCR and that I gave them
