In our attempt to get help with plumbing supplies I was greeted nicely by employees at the counter until we were directed to a pluming specialist. People wonder why big box stores are taking over, and it is because they are mandated by corporate overseers that demand they be civil to everyone that enters their stores. Even if met with incompetence it has a smile with it. We are working on our personal house, 1920's 2000 sqft complete remodel. So, needless to say we will be spending tens of thousands of dollars at hardware stores is the future. My husband has been shopping in your stores for over 25 years, but when your rude to the wife, the money goes elsewhere. Especially when reprimanded like a child, by your representative. We were willing to listen to the ideas that you offered but I haven't been spoken to like that in a retail setting, ever. In my line of work I have to be nice to everyone every time or I would not have a job.

unlike a box store the staff actually know their merchandise. The service is excellent and they know how to help you with what ever the project is. In addition to quality and service the family owned business gives back generously to the Saratoga Springs community in ways that are obvious but also in many ways that are anonymous and under the radar. Well, hell - I'm doing this for the Camaro, but also because the Allerdice Express store on Saratoga Lake deserves some recognition. Living at least 8 miles from any other hardware/lumber store, I find this store, for its size, particularly handy. Even more importantly, they have a really, really wide selection of stuff for such a small store - I'm always impressed by what they have - frankly, just about everything. Give them your business - they're deserving of it.
