I have lived in Silver City for 10+ years now. I have had good experience with R&L in the past, but the latest job I asked them to do on my exhaust systems was far below expectations. I was told some of the pipe had rusted out, and instead of replacing that section as I thought, they covered it in weld. The weld holding the muffler to the main pipe was the same, and looked to be done hastily, with no attempt to clean it up. The muffler inlet was a half inch or more smaller than my exhaust piping and instead of using a reducer, weld was piled and left without any attempts to clean up the welds. I'm sure this will hold for a little while, but I have no doubt it will not hold for long. A bill of $438 left a sour taste in my mouth, as I could have paid less for my own muffler, and paid a student at the university less to cut a few pipes to the right size and weld those. Disappointing. The gas station is now Ram station, with the one redeeming quality of having .05 cents off gas at night.

I am from Orlando Florida but visit my mom often in Silver City. I have had to use R&L for service on my personal vehicles. I have found that they are friendly, fair, and do a very good job. They do it right the first time and do not nickel and dime you to death. I would not take my car anywhere else in Silver City for service.
