This once was a favorite of my family and we used it for special dinners, e.g. birthdays. Our last visit there was really spoiled by the server. The server announced to us, total strangers, right away, "my son died last week". What do you think that did to the meal? Her service was chaotic. She disappeared - no one could find her. My husband looked in the kitchen and saw her happily chatting with the chef - she did not look bereaved. I did talk to a manager the next day, I was just asking for better staff training and stronger management presence. The person was arrogant to the point of rudeness, almost hostile. We have not returned. Chaos and arrogance are the house specialties

Our waitress, Kathleen, was absolutely charming as was the maitre'd. The lobster bisque was sweet and creamy and the crab cakes were fabulous! Can not wait to go back!!

I'm not sure how this restaurant was in the past, but my experiences have been GREAT. The atmosphere was sophisticated, but casual. The staff and servers were helpful and very accommodating to my family when we walked in without a reservation, it only took them a few minutes to have our party of 10 set. The menu is diverse and had something for everyone. My stuffed mushroom caps and blackened salmon were awesome!

I have not been to The Lamb in a few years even though I have lived near Springfield for most of my life. We decided to try it last Thursday night for dinner and I must say, the food was exceptionally great! I had the Sliced Petite Filet Mignon and it was one of the best I have had in quite a long time. The Lamb had been remodeled over the last few years and is now very casual and affordable. I remembered it as a fine dining establishment and never thought to go there for a mid week dinner. I must say, I was very impressed with the changes they have made and will be frequenting them much more often.
