Horrible...unless you have a day off to spend at the office. I was there for over 45 minutes, early in the morning, and was not seen because I walked out. There are enough dermatologists in the area to find one with better patient services. In addition I was told by a friend who referred me there that when she goes for cosmetic work (i.e. botox) that insurance doesn't cover, she's in and out without any wait time because she is paying out of pocket...however when she goes for treatments the insurance covers, there is usually over an hour wait time. That is completely and totally unacceptable to me.

I would highly recommend this group as I have never had a problem with any of them since I first started going there about 4 years ago. I have been examined by two different PA's and I truly like both of them and trust they are giving me a complete check-up. I also have had Mohs surgery done by Dr. Spates and I think he is great. He and his staff are very nice, informative as to what is being done along with being compassionate. In fact, Dr. Spates himself has called me at home after I had the Mohs surgery to make sure I was doing okay. I have never had any problems making or changing an appointment. I have also gotten return calls when needed. I have recommended this group to a couple of my friends and they have not had any problems. The only thing I have a problem with is the parking but other than that I find no problems with this group.

Totally agree with these reviews. Took my boys, 5 and 2, to an appointment for a skin issue. Waited 60 minutes, no real apology or even concern about it. Care was adequate, but wasting my time was not acceptable. I'll take my business elsewhere.

The doctors may be good, don't know because only seem to see the physcician assistants, which are good. Appts are overbooked. Wait is VERY long. Hard to get a call back, if you leave a message. Usually takes 2 or 3 phone calls before you get a call back.

The allergy test put on my back was a waste of time and money. I have recently learned that dermatologists can identify rashes and such just by eye, as did the Dr. I went to after this group failed me two different times. The allergy test is taped to the whole back, with magic marker identifying information and no getting it wet. The results came back that I was allergic to an ingredient in cough drops. Please. If I did not get a heads-up from the receptionist, I would have had to pay my co-pay, $50. THREE TIMES, which is how they work out the reading of the test. Only because I balked did I find out I could ask for the fee to be waived. For those who would not know better, they would be paying for a worthless and unnecessary procedure. Rip-off. My insurance company said they couldn't do anything about this charging for the allergy test, but I could write a review to inform others. Avoid this Dermo group. I do not give the group stars, but have to in order to post.

The staff is horrible. The doctors are horrible. And after being treated for many months now, my skin is worse than ever. I don't recommend this group at all.

I agree about the comments regarding the office staff which, is more than an inconvenient nuisance, it lessens your quality of care. I had severe acne, but had been acne free for 4 years prior to going to The Derm Group. As a result of them taking FOREVER to fix an issue that should have taken 2 mins, I am back to having severe cystic acne. The issue is fixed and I am sure it will go away, but it is such a hassle. That being said, the DRs and Medical Staff are very qualified and kind. It just everything else that makes this place sub-par.

After getting rushed and impersonal service from the first doctor at this group, upon a referral from my allergist, I used the other doctor. I was misled. I was rushed, didn't get to have a minute to think of questions that could have saved us both time: when I tried to have him call me back, his nurses, literally, harassed me for not wanting to speak to them. I kept stopping work to answer my phone, thinking it was my doctor, but he sent his nurse, again. His time is not more important than mine, and I've never had a doctor who wouldn't return his own calls. With each appointment, I left with expensive prescriptions, but not much understanding of what they were for. I was ignorant because no one had a minute to answer my questions. Truly, sitting in the office, I felt as though I was talking to their backs. I also didn't understand why I would tell the nurse why I was there, and then the doctor would come in and ask me all over again. No Stars, but unable to post without rating it.

Unless you have at least 90 minutes to sit around after your scheduled appointment time don't bother going to this facility. Doctors may be good but they constantly overbook. I know of 8 people close to me who have all given up on these doctors and moved on to others strictly because of the wait time. Even if you make a 7:15 a.m. appointment you can sit for an hour......there is no excuse for that.

Although there are many doctors at this facility and all are friendly and helpful, the same cannot be said for the office staff. Based on my experience, all staff were friendly upon my initial greeting, but then when additional work was required i.e. misunderstanding of a referral, it suddenly turned into the "patient's problem." Other visits that I have made found me sitting in the waiting area for atleast 45 minutes and then about another 20 minutes in the exam room. If you are considering this office, be sure you have enough time to invest in the visit. I wonder whatever happend to professionalism and actually working at your job.....times are changing--and not for the better.
