Provided by YP.comThey have the best mac & cheese, home made. Servings are large enough that my husband and I can share the fried chicken livers. He orders 2 vegetables plus mac & cheese. I eat 2-3 livers and all the macaroni and cheese. I walk out quite satisfied. The wait staff have always been exceptional.

Provided by YPmobileI have been eating at Lizards Thicket since they opened the 1st location on Broad River. I have always had good food & service. This past Monday, I almost walked out due to the worst service ever. There were maybe 4 tables occupied w/4servers. Our waitress snickers when we said our food was not hot. I ate 2 of my sides before she ever came to the table. She went to reheat our chicken & dumplings. She came back with my mothers & asked her to try it to see if it was hot enough. Took several more minutes before mind made it back to thy table. Refills on drinks came after she reheated the food. After we ate, she was not around until we were at the register. She never gave me the bill, she gave it to the person taking the money, so I never saw the bill, was only told the total. We were the only ones in that section. Our waitress definitely needs more training, cause she'll never be able to handle a rush hour service.
Robert, mgr. always makes us feel welcome. Recently,we had our grandchildren, Will/Lilly with us to eat breakfast. Robert came to our table to see what the grands were going to eat-pancakes. He quietly left. We were pleasantly surprised when the waitress returned with our breakfast to see that Robert had made the grands "turtle" pancakes. They had a head, arms & feet. Our grands thoroughly enjoyed eating each part of the turtle pancake. Robert took his work time to fix breakfast for Will/Lilly to delight them that morning. They won't forget that experience. They enjoying coming to visit us. They ask to come to the Lizard Thicket for supper. Robert is definitely a plus of this Lizard Thicket, we feel.ThanksAnn Chip Tiller110 Urbana RdHopkins, SC 29061
Good Country Cooking: On September 23,2006 my husband and I visited Lizard's Thicket at the Garners Ferry location in Columbia SC for dinner for the first time. My hubby had the beef stew and I ordered the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, fried squash and cabbage. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the price was right. I rated the restaurant good. However I would have rated it excellent if they had fried corn on the menu.

Provided by YP.comWhen I feel like a home-cooked meal and don't want to cook this is where I go! I love the fact that I can call in my order and pick it up at the drive through window and the food is great!
