******PLEASE BE ADVISED********It is not a common practice of mine to post negative comments or reviews on local small business owner who contribute to the success of Drovers economy through commerce; however, this is not the case. I feel compelled to warn the good people of Dover and the neighboring towns and municipalities of the business practice of Capitol Pawn. I was interested in a USED firearm that was displayed in their showcase, Ruger Security 9. I was not familiar with the pistol at the time and read the price tag as $475; at which point an employee (Dan), quickly offered me a $100.00 discount bringing the sale price to $375.00. Good deal right? NO. A NEW Ruger Security 9 retails at MSRP $379.00, and thats on the high end. Average cost of this pistol NEW is around $320-$360.00. Dan of Capitol Pawn offered to sale me a USED Ruger Security 9 at the Retail NEW price. Conclusion: Either the employees at Capitol Pawn lack product knowledge/ignorant or engage in unscrupulous behavior that is typical in their industry. Im sure they wont miss my business, just make sure they dont get yours.
