- ArthritisDr. Kivitz has authored and co-authored more than 500 research articles, abstracts, and studies on subjects covering osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and pain management. In addition, his studies have been published in several prestigious medical journals including The New England Journal of Medicine, Pain Medicine, Journal of the American Medical Association, Arthritis & Rheumatology, and Journal of Clinical Rheumatology. Dr. Kivitz has served as a consultant on numerous osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis clinical trials. He has given many presentations and lectures all over the world- Great Britain, France, Germany, Portugal, India, Argentina, Denmark, Czech Republic, and throughout the United States. Dr. Kivitz has served as a member of advisory boards and speaker bureaus for Abbvie, Amgen, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Celgene, Crescendo Bioscience, Genentech, GlaxoSmithKline, Horizon, Janssen, Pfizer, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Sanofi-Genzyme, Takeda, and UCB. Dr. Kivitz has assisted in the design of clinical trial protocols for more than 10 Pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Kivitz is an active member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society and the American Medical Association. He holds certifications in Human Subjects Protection and HIPAA Research Training and is classified as a Certified Principal Investigator by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. His research work has focused on the development of newer strategies for treating patients with arthritis and rheumatic disorders. He has served as Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator in more than 1000 clinical trials.
- FibromyalgiaUpon completion of residency training, Dr. Murphy underwent Rheumatology Fellowship training through an integrated Rheumatology Fellowship Program between Walter Reed Army Medical Center and The National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. As a member of the United States Army Medical Corps, Dr. Murphy served his country in many distinct and diverse capacities culminating in his promotion to Chief of the Rheumatology Division at Brook Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Throughout his military career he received many awards: National Defense Service Medal Army Service Ribbon, Army Achievement Medal Recipient (3), Army Commendation Medal Recipient (3), Bailey K. Ashford Clinical Research Award Semi-Finalist, and the Army Meritorious Service Medal. As a Clinical Rheumatologist, Dr. Murphy is actively engaged in all phases of clinical research resulting in numerous publications, lectures and research presentations at national and international scientific meetings. As a principal investigator, Dr. Murphy has conducted more than one hundred clinical trials in various areas of interest including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing spondylitis, Sjogren’s syndrome, Lupus, Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis, Fibromyalgia, medical education & sarcoidosis. As a clinical educator, Dr. Murphy continues to teach medicine previously as an adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and presently at Duke - High Point Internal Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Murphy's interests include medical missionary work. He is the co-founder of Enspice and Founder and Excutive Director of the Enspice Children's Foundation.

ACCR has more than 82,000 patients in our electronic database and typically fulfills 75% of the enrolled subjects in most clinical trials from these files.

As a Health Professions Scholarship Recipient, Dr. Murphy received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed a categorical internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
