0My husband & I just enjoyed a wonderful Murder Mystery event at the Black Gryphon this evening, and what a fantastic night it was! The Irish themed food that went along with the Irish themed mystery was outstanding, the actors were very professional and good at their parts, and the entire night was just a lot of fun! We are so glad a place in the area is supporting the arts!! We look forward to dining here in the future and to coming to more events like this one!!!!
We have eaten at Black Gryphon countless times since they first opened. The food is always top notch. The dinning experience is the best around. We enjoy the fresh local menu they provide and that they change there menu with the season so everything is bought local and is fresh. The employees are always pleasant and very knowledgeable about how the meal is made and what goes into it. The dinner theater and bands are very well done and always done well. This is my favorite place to dine out for just bar food or a good meal. They have prices for everyone.

Best fresh food ever! Staff is so friendly & eager to please. Ambience is very relaxing & inviting. Highly recommended!!

- In 2007, Anthony Morgan and Mike Cottle purchased what was once L.C. Jordan’s and opened the Black Gryphon, adding to a legacy of more than seventy years of dining at the location. The Black Gryphon, which represents the Morgan family crest, was based on the Welsh foundation of using local, fresh produce and product. We continue to take inspiration from Welsh cuisine as well as homegrown, Central Pennsylvanian traditions. Everything we do is made-to-order, from farm to table.
