In 1928, Theodore Drees and four friends built and lived in a small home in Wilder, Kentucky. Before long, the group made their first home sale. In 1968, Drees assumed complete responsibility. In 1928, Theodore Drees built a house in Wilder, Ky., after he arrived in North America from northwestern Germany. Drees and four friends lived in the house until it sold, and The Drees Company was born. Drees Homes has locations in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina and Texas. The Drees Company maintains its headquarters in Fort Mitchell, Ky. Additional locations include Covington, Ky.
