Inspiring Children for over 44 Years Montessori School of Fort Myers was founded in 1969 by a group of dedicated parents who wanted to provide an authentic Montessori education to preschool aged children (infant kindergarten) in Fort Myers, FL. At a Glance: Ages: Children ages 6 weeks 6 years old (infant through kindergarten) Community Size: 5 classrooms, up to 92 children Facility: 5,000ft2 nestled in the Villas residential neighborhood next to Grace Brethren Church. A Montessori School: We are a private secular Montessori school that follows the Lee County School Districts 10 month school year (180 days of class per year). We also cater to dual-income families by offering care during common school holidays and a summer camp. The School is distinguished by the quality of its Montessori curriculum which has been heavily influenced by its affiliation with the American Montessori Society.
