General Info
As an attorney who has been in practice since 1982, I’ve seen a lot of individuals and families who have gotten into too much debt. Sometimes the loss of a job can cause debts to accumulate. At other times, a major illness can have a devastating effect. Other times, people simply get in over their heads and can’t dig themselves out. I’ve seen enough people with overwhelming debt to know that bad things can happen to good people. I believe people deserve the chance to start over again. The Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 laws of this country were created to give people a fresh start.
