Dr. Tan at Ancient Healing Center About Dr. Tan... Ancient Healing Center is run by Dr. Jiang Tan L.AC.; CMD Graduated from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with a medical doctorate degree in 1992, his major is Acupuncture and Acupressure. Dr. Tan has been practicing his specialty for over 20 years. In 1995 he was invited by NIH, and then he received his Maryland Acupuncture License in 1997. Dr. Tan has worked with Internal Medicine Doctor and Pain management Doctor more than 10 years, through the lone time of training and practice; he has gained skills in making accurate diagnoses using four traditional examination methods. This enables him to determine the cause and origin of a problem, and achieve good results in treatment. As a result, his patients are better able to maintain mind & body wellness. Acupuncture is a healthcare modality developed in China over 2,500 years ago. Acupuncture promotes natural healing and improves many physiological functions by the insertion of sterilized (disposable), stainless-steel needles (that are as fine as a human hair) into specific points located near or on the surface of the skin. Modern science has revealed that when stimulated by the needles, these specific body points can influence various biochemical and physiological functions which in turn, affect changes in the body. In simple terms, acupuncture influences the body's various systems' ability to balance itself: hormonal, digestive, circulatory, neurological, muscular and mental. Acupuncture can be used independently or along with herbal medicine. Acupuncture can influence three areas of health care: * Promotes good health and well-being * Prevents illness * Treats various symptoms and illnesses Call Dr. Tan today to schedule your consultation!
