Basic Drawing I This is the first class students are required to take. It is a three-month program where students will learn basic drawing concepts. They will have about 6 finished, ready to be framed works when the course is completed. At the end of the three month period, students will participate in an Art Show where they will display their work and receive a certificate. Age requirement starts at 6 years. Basic Art II In this second course (Basic Drawing I is a pre-requisite), students will learn concepts of acrylic painting, the color wheel, water color painting, and pen and ink. At the end of this three-month course, students will have about 5 finished, ready to be framed works. They will participate in an Art Show and receive a certificate. Age requirement starts at 6 years. Advanced Studies Anyone who has completed the Basic Drawing I course is able to take part in the Advanced Studies course. Students in this class pursue their personal interests. This class is an open-ended enrollment to be registered by the first day of each quarter. Students will take part in the Art Show every three months and receive a certificate of participation. Art Enrichment Program for Adults The Adult Art Enrichment Program meets once a week for 1 1/2 hours. This Class is for beginner artists as well as accomplished. Lessons are offered in drawing in a variety of dry media with progression to watercolor, acrylic and oil techniques. The atmoshere is encouraging and non-competitive. Many students have entered their work in non-affiliated contests and won awards in many venues. Students do participate in The Artistic Enrichment Program's Semi-Annual Art Expo and receive recognition. This class is perfect for the individual who always "wished" they could draw and paint, or for the one who never can make time to persue their interest in the fine arts. The class welcomes ages 14 to 100+.
