- The UHMS has had a clinical hyperbaric medicine facility accreditation program since 2001. Clinical hyperbaric facilities can demonstrate their commitment to patient care and facility safety by voluntarily participating in this program. When invited to perform an accreditation survey, the UHMS sends a team of experts to the facility to examine staffing and training, equipment installation, operation and maintenance, facility and patient safety, and standards of care.

The St. Rose Dominican Hospitals Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Centers are staffed with a unique team of doctors, nurses, and technicians all dedicated to healing chronic and complicated wounds. The Centers utilize a panel of specialty physicians, ranging from general surgeons, podiatrists, family practice, internal medicine, and vascular surgeons. Each of these physicians has attended specialty training in Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine at Ohio State University through National Healing Corporation. All physicians follow the same evidence-based Clinical Pathway, using processes and procedures that have been developed and proven in 150 centers across the country.
