My elderly mother rented a vehicle from this location and assumed that the car tire tread was safe. After a 6 hour drive to Texas, a cousin saw the tire tread was really depleted. They contacted Office Manager to see about car exchange, but found all offices were independently owned, so could not exchange car. Not good. I, then, spoke to the the 5th Ave,. location Office Mgr. and explained the situation and my concern about my mother making the 6 hour drive back home and she agreed to give my mother a discount on her return of the rental. My mother stopped in Katy, TX, where I live on her way home, so my husband and I could visually inspect the tread on the tires. We confirmed that the tire tread on all 4 tires were very poor, but especially the rear tires. We took pictures, my Mom drove the rest of way home and made it safely, thank God. On 8/31, emailed the pics to the Office Mgr of 5th Avenue office. When my Mom returned car and asked when the tires would be replaced, she was told they would not be changed for another month, which concerned her. My Mother called my husband, he called and suddenly the Office Mgr. agreed to change tires immediately and to make matters worse, did not give my Mother the agreed upon discount. We submitted a complaint to their corporate offices and opened a complaint case with the Better Business Bureau. Be careful when renting from this location.
