have been a very long time Dan's Auto Center customer, during this last visit I brought in my Subaru Legacy for a clutch that was recommended by the dealer, after doing a thorough free checkout on my car the technicians found the only problem was with the clutch slave cylinder and master cylinder. Dan's has a much more friendly, honest vibe, and thats what keeps me coming back. Sure saved me some money on this visit! Thanks again to the guys over at Dan's.

My wife and I were on our way across town last Tuesday and had a breakdown on the I 5 freeway. Being from the Bend area I felt really vulnerable to just going to any repair shop. Our tow truck driver recommended try Dan's Auto Center so we did. Jennifer was kind enough to get our Outback in and checked while we waited. We really appreciated this since we were stranded. The alternator ended up being the culprit, and the battery was weak as well. Very surprised at how fast the repairs were completed. Anyway, we were back on the road within a few hours, and we thank everyone at Dan's for the excellent service.

Jennifer just seems to have it together. I have been taking my Subaru and Toyota to them for years now. The service is very good, a few occasonal delays for parts but the job is always done right and the loaner car and free carwash are always a nice touch. The front office and bathroom are kept very clean. it is great to have the car inspected everytime I go there, keeps me inforemd of upcoming or needed items.

We have taken our 2003 Honda Accord to Dan's since it was new. We have always found them thorough and conscientious and will stand behind their work. The car recently turned over 100,000 miles and I can honestly say these have been the most trouble free 100,000 miles I have ever driven. I believe a lot of that has to do with the quality of service the car has received.

We have taken our Subarus to Dan's Auto for 15 years; it's simply the BEST preventive maintenance family shop in the Northwest. Their service is always timely, patient and professional. If you or your wife need a loaner car, they will schedule an appointment to make that possible. We bring our cars in for an affordable 3-4,000 miles oil change and multi-point check regularly, and trust Dan's Auto to diagnose and fix what needs to be done to keep us driving. In 15 years we have NEVER had a road break down! Their mechanics are super; it's not unusual for a mechanic to be patiently explaining how things work and what ought to be done. Our spreadsheets show, year after year, that their work is trustworthy and affordable.

I don't take my cars anywhere else because I trust this local business to offer reasonably priced service and a long term commitment to maintaining my cars and my business. After fours year, I know two things: 1) I won't be taken advantage of and 2) the shop will stand behind its work. I've never had a problem with their work and I've learned not to joke that something was done wrong - they take such statements seriously and hold themselves to a high standard.



My last three cars have been serviced almost exclusively at Dan's Auto Center. For years I fell into the complacency trap and took my cars to the respective dealerships. My assumption was that the dealer could be trusted and that they had an interest in maintaining a business relationship to sell me a new car. I started to notice oddities on my inspection notes from the dealer so I went looking for a second opinion. Dan's Subaru (name was later changed) politely disagreed with the dealership and indicated that service was not needed. I stopped visiting the dealership after that experience.



Just as an example, I had a failing head gasket due to a manufacturing defect. The car was no longer under warranty and I dreaded the cost of the repair. Rather than see how much they could make off my bad situation, they said "let's keep an eye on it and when it becomes serious we will make the needed repair". No pressure and they even suggested I try to wait until the clutch and timing belt were also due. That saved me money and impressed on me how well they treated customers.



An earlier review indicated that a simple oil change took longer than expected. I too would be frustrated, but I would point out that the delay indicates that Dan's Auto Center is busy - and they aren't busy because they mistreat their customers.
