I took my car to Curtis Tire to have my timing belt changed, get new plugs and wires and to stop an oil leak. I asked how much it would cost and he said they like to looked over the car thoroughly before giving an estimate, this would eliminate him calling back with additional work that needed to be done which would cost more money. My estimate was 1600.00 to 1800.00 dollars. Then he asked for a $1000.00 deposit so he could get the parts. This made me uncomfortable, I should have taken my car and went to another shop, but I didn't, HUGE MISTAKE!

Within three days he had called me back letting me know that all the hoses in my car needed to be replaced. I received another call two days after that telling me my radiator was leaking and it needed to be replaced. This continued until my bill reached $3000.00.

Well within two days of getting my car back my check engine light came on, I took it to another shop and they found a hose that had not been replaced and wasn't allowing proper air flow to my engine and few days later my car started leaking oil again. I took my car in for service and I was told that my seals were leaking, so I called Curtis Tire and I was met with anger.

He was very offended that I would question the work he had done on my car, I was just curious why given all of the other items they found and/or suggested that needed to be replaced, why didn't they suggest changing my seals given the age of the vehicle. Then he was further angered because I would not bring my car back in for service. Needless to say I was not going to give him another opportunity to fix my car and call me every other day with additional work that needs to be done and run my bill up again.

So I have written all of this to let everyone know DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO CURTIS TIRE AND IF YOU DO, STAY BY THE PHONE AND GET READY TO OPEN YOUR WALLET EVERY TIME THE PHONE RINGS. ALSO, GET READY TO BE MET WITH HOSTILITY IF YOUR CAR IS NOT FIXED PROPERLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

STAY CLEAR OF THESE GUYS! Yes I agree with other reviewers they rip people off especially women!Took car there for oil change came out needing more work. Even trying to sell me new used tires for the price of new ones. The last time we took car there. They even did unnecessary repairs and didn't even ask us just did it and over charged as we check with other garages and told us the same thing. Curtis is also very slow and can take days with your cars as they always did with ours. Which is also reason to be suspicious.. will not go back to them ever!

not happy with te service i got. was told that my car needed repairs that it did not need. took it to and nother shop and every thing was ok but when the other shop started to take tire of off drive side they found that the log nuts where not tighten. this really upset me. even though i am a girl i do know about my car. i feel as i was ripped off and they over priced my bill. got the other shop to give me thier price and i was blow away of how thier price was a lot less then what i paid. so i went to one more shop and got another price and it was still lower then what i paid. walmart and pepboys are the two places i went too. i also priced it myself and if i would have did it my self i would have saved 280.00 so as for curtis tire i will never use then again. ps... if you are a girl do not fall for thier bs they will take you for everything.

Really the best pricing out there but every set I have bought from them seems like at least one of my tires has a slow leak. Coincidence or not?
