I want to inform you of a major company that is operating unethically and very disrespectful. I went to Big O tires in Lynnwood in September to have them put on my new tires. They scared me into believing that my tires were unsafe, so I decided to purchase new tires (although I had plenty of tred on my original tires). They final price was about $500 more than they quoted me, but that was not the bad part.

My 22 inch rims were ruined in the process – the paint was scratched off and dented. The manager promised me that he would fix the problem, but this never happened. The day after I bought these tires, I had a flat. The person working there said that was normal. He “fixed” the problem. However, within one month I had a flat tire again. I paid over $1000 on these tires.

During the process, I heard the workers referring to me as a “stupid girl” that they did not want to explain the process to. I have a master’s degree from the University of Washington, and consider myself an intellectual person even if I do not know a lot about cars. This degrading remarks, along with others, made me contact the manager.

When I met with the manager, he was apologetic and almost in tears. He was upset that his employees degraded women in the way they did. He wanted to make things better, so he gave me free oil changes and a $150 store credit. I had no plan to come back to that store.

However, my car battery died so I decided to have them replace it. I figured, a car battery is a simple fix and they couldn’t mess it up. What a mistake. When I went to pay with my store credit, the worker began yelling at me and degrading me again. He said there was no such thing as store credit. After much argument, he gave me my keys and I drove away.

The brand new battery lasted less than one month. I went to another shop, and they told me it was a bad battery. The workers at the other store were appalled that someone had sold me this battery. When I went to exchange it at Big O tires, they refused. They had erased the date on the battery, and they told me that stickers often “fall off.” To make matters worth, when I opened my hood initially, I saw that Big O tires left a tire tool on top of my engine.

My brother and I went to Big O to return the battery. The person working (who was the same person who installed my battery) said he was the “new manager/owner and operator.” He yelled at my brother and I, and said he would not exchange the bad battery. He did not even care that he left his tool in the hood of my car. This man said that he did not feel bad for selling me a bad battery, and even denied authorizing the sale of this battery. I waited in that waiting room as he put in the battery. I handed him my keys. I watched him install this battery. He thinks I am another “stupid girl” and I am sick of being taken advantage of by this car company. He yelled at my brother because he was trying to help me, he did not care that he was being unethical, and he blamed all of his errors on others. It was the most disgusting thing I have seen from another human being. I can honestly say that the man that is the “manager” of this Big O Tires is the most unethical, conniving, and selfish person I have met in my lifetime. I am not looking for anything, other than to let the other people in my community know the dangers of this shop. They set your car up to have continuous problems, and as a single woman, that is one of the scariest things that can happen to me. My car, a 2006 Ford Mustang, worked perfectly before I went to Big O Tires in Lynnwood. However, since then, I have had nothing but problems.



If I could give this business a real rating; I would rate it negative 1000000! Don't come here and warn all your family, friends, and loved ones.
