We are appalled by the customer service we received from Simma’s. We booked with them 6 months ago for a wedding in July 2018. Just this morning, we received a phone call that Simma’s will be closed during that time and they have now cancelled our order. We are less than 7 months from the wedding with no cake or sweets table. During this phone call, they made no effort to correct this mistake. Turns out, they close down that time of year every year but failed to figure this out until now. They have now made it our problem to resolve and offered no suggestions or help. We would have appreciated a call from the owner or even them working with a new vendor we selected to ensure they could duplicate what we had ordered. There are a number of ways they could have handled this to make this situation better but the way they chose to inform us just made everything worse. We had been so excited to select them as a vendor and so loved their food but now we will never work them again.

UPDATE: we just received a call from the owner who offered an excellent solution. Something we would have expected to receive when we first heard this news. We appreciate her call and chance to discuss our options - much better service.

Wow... I can't believe anyone would bad mouth this bakery. I have been buying their products for the last 14 years. They made my wedding cake beautifully and I continue to use them for all of my events. If there was more than a 5-star rating... they would get it!

The bakery products are great as long as you don't have to deal w/ one of their decorators named Amy. Micheal and all the others are great, products are wonderful. Parking can be a little tricky during rush hour.

Although this bakery provides a high quality cake, their service falls far short of their cakes. After several attempts at scheduling an appointment over three months, they failed to provide service. As a planner, I needed o ensure I had a wedding cake in time, I chose to seek out another bakery with better service, which was not hard to do.

This bakery is a true gem. The quality of their products is similar to the high quality of baked goods found in Europe. The bakers are what I would call "Master Bakers" as found in German speaking countries. From someone who is from a German family, this is high praise and not given lightly.
