This facility is more concerned with cleanliness than patient care. Care givers have to do the laundry (including bedspreads and comforters weekly) and all the cleaning of the patient rooms and bathrooms. They do not have time for the patients. Mom got very little attention. Her needs were not met. She had a horrible roommate that resented her taking up space. She sat alone with no enrichment daily. She even sat alone at meals until I complained. She was blind and could not find her way around to even answer her phone or get to the bathroom without help. Yet, she was fequently left without her call button. She was diabetic, yet, I had to fight to have someone give her an appropriate bedtime snack (She was supposed to get a sandwich -- she got cookies that I took in). She died 20 days after a fall because she was left without her call button during the night. The caregivers, for the most part, did what they could and were good with her. This place needs a new administrator.
