my relative was extremly unhappy with the treatment she recieved by a majority of the staff. call lights are put out of reach at night, patients left on toliets and "forgotten" about by staff. complaints are met with either hostility or denial by staff. no real ongoing activities for the residents, nursing staff ignoring call-lites, while "talking" in the nursing station, requests for assistance from staff by family members is often met with a smug or demeaning attitude. unexplained "injuries"-understaffed and somewhat negligent-ie:-- on the weekends-uncleaned rooms and dirty patient's laundry left in pt. rooms. patients forced to go to bed early in evening against their wishes, no assistance for patients in wheelchairs at times-left to sit long periods of time after the dinner is over or for many other "reasons"-just a general, overall atmosphere of uncaring with no-one really seeming to be in charge at times. an overall attitude of doing a job in a perfuctoary manner at best.
