Provided by YP.comHonesty is a very important part of a successful business.........personal experience and word of mouth has shown me that Tattookah is NOT an honest business - they lie to their employees and to the public only to make more money.
With so many other body piercing/tattoo shops in the area, find a more honest, affordable one!

Provided by YP.comOn August 13, 2015 my husband, daughter, son and myself visited three tattoo places in Ocala, Florida. My daughter wanted to get her first tattoo so we shopped around before making a decision.
The guy we spoke to at Tattookah was arrogant, condescending, judgmental, obnoxious and he made my daughter feel very uncomfortable. When my daughter told him what tattoo she wanted, he snickered and snidely said "What did you do, get that off of Pinterest or something". I nicely explained to him that the phrase has special meaning to us but he didn't care. He replied with "Thousands of people have the same tattoo and they see it on Pinterest and they all want it". So I told him again it had meaning to us and that it was for my mother who passed away. I told him it wasn't something she just randomly saw online. Instead of stopping his "lecture" he kept going on and on about kids seeing tattoos on Pinterest and people only want that because they see others with it. I told him that my daughter was smarter than that. He also told her that she's going to keep growing so the tattoo will look stretched out when she's older. I told him she's going to be 17 and is not growing anymore and if she does, it's not enough to make a difference. He told me "We're humans. We grow into our 20's". If you must know, my daughter got her period at 12 and stopped growing at about 14. My husband and I adopted our daughter in 2003, when she was 4 years old. My mother, who was her only grandmother passed away four years later but left a huge impact on her life.
My daughter could have asked for anything for her 17th birthday but she asked for something that would honor her Mom Mom. Instead of being kind, you spoke down to her and frankly that shows a lot about his character.
I posted a negative review on their Facebook page and the owner of Tattookah responded to my complaint (after deleting my first review) to tell me that she would have preferred I "address her personally", which is ironic since she never replied to a public post on my wall where she was tagged two weeks prior. She then insinuated that it was "just a personality clash". lol Yes, FOUR people (me, my husband, my son and my daughter) just had a "personality clash" with the same person. She then said that since she has gotten "rave reviews" about this artist, she is going to assume it was "just not a good fit". I am a business owner myself and I can see why the staff think it's okay to treat customers that way since the owner makes excuses for them.
