I love Frankford chocolate easter eggs! I get them every year and stock up! I would recommend them to everyone! I have a package right now and it states "made in the USA". The first four ingredients are sugar, cocoa butter, chocolate liquor, milk.

Worst chocolate I've ever eaten. It was brown and Made to look like chocolate but no chocolate taste. Just a sweet pure sugary concoction made to look like chocolate and maybe fool a 5 year olds pallet. I don't know how they get away with it!

I just got a box of their Crisp Chocolaty Hearts (featuring Spongebob on the front) from my mom as a post-Valentine's gift, and only one word describes this chocolate; YUCK! It tastes super-waxy, and hardly like chocolate at all! The package says made in the USA, and has an expiration date of 2014. The first three ingredients are sugar, partially hydrogenated vegetable oil, and cocoa powder. Probably the worst tasting chocolates that have ever graced my gullet.

Went to a birthday party and t...

Went to a birthday party and the mom bought spongebob squarepants gummy candy by Frankford Candy & Chocolate. The candy was made in CHINA and tasted disgusting, the kids spit it out and it was actually quite sad. Thinking about it more, China does not regulate what is in their food or candies and I would advise any parent to stay away from this company, no matter how cheap they sell it. JUNK. Parents, wake up and read the label, we are poisoning our kids to save a buck.

Chocolate Made in CHINA

I notice the Easter candy my wife bought is made in China, Frankford you lost a customer. I'm concerned that you say on your web site "it is safe". China has fouled up to many times, don't trust them in mfg any product. Charge me more but make it here in the USA, a concerned costomer.

General Info
When Frankford Candy & Chocolate Company began, companies like McCrory, J.J. Newberry, Woolworth and Kroger took a chance on the new candy company and kept coming back. As these small 5-cent and 10-cent stores grew into major regional and national chains so did Frankford Candy & Chocolate. Along with the hollow molded chocolate bunnies found on shelves across America the company produces seasonal candies and chocolate products for Easter, Halloween, Christmas and Valentines Day. Peter Pan creamy peanut butter filled treats and Jelly Planet jelly pops are among some of the year-round offerings the company produces. Frankford Candy & Chocolate also creates candy products sold under the Nickelodeon, Barbie, Hot Wheels, Beatrix Potter, The Simpsons and Dr. Suess How the Grinch Stole Christmas brands. The company is headquartered in Philadelphia. Sam Himmelstein founded Frankford Candy & Chocolate in 1947.
