This place is amazing. It's by far the best open mic I've gone to (and I've gone to many all over New England), it's the best music store, and the best community. You can meet a lot of friends here and grow as a musician in many ways. Whether you're going there to play the open mic, buy an instrument, or take lessons, you're going to have an amazing experience.

Ricks is definately the premeire music and lesson center around...I have been doing business with them for 12+ years, and trust their staff with all of my music needs. The are professional, courteous, and will go above and beyond expectations. There prices are more than reasonable, and sell quality merchandise. I can't say enough about this company...A+++!

I have been to many music stores, but Rick's Music World is hands down the best I've ever been to. Not only is it a store full of brand name guitars, exceptional drum kits, top notch speaker systems and keyboards, but it also has a cafe, music lessons, and a family oriented open mic every thursday night. Rick's Music World has unbelievable teachers which the students seem to connect with amazingly. The whole store has a very comfortable atmosphere, and the service makes you want to come back everyday of the week. Hands Down, Best Music Store.

The store also offers audio-video service, I think.The staff is well trained and very courteous. The store is smoothly run, and they really serve widely varying customers' needs.The store hosts concerts and open mic, with a little cozy cafe on the corner.The place combines the at-home atmosphere of small stores and the efficiency of a large store. A fine balance is nicely achieved.I looked at their prices (guitars, effects and PAs) and the prices are very competitive, in line with Internet mail-order places. Considering you can test drive anything and talk to the knowledgeable staff, you are actually better off purchasing items at this store.

Great sales people and a good selection. Many quality instruments from Taylor, Fender and others that you don't see elsewhere in the region. And once you can play a song or two on your instrument, the Thursday open mic at Rick's has great sound and a very appreciative audience.
