Meier Body Shop and Towing was founded in 1951 by Clarence and Lena Meier to provide fast top quality towing and body shop services to the Siouxland community. Clarence believed in using the most cutting edge tools or equipment that was available for the towing industry. Meier Towing was the first to have tow trucks with hydraulic booms and flatbed tow trucks in the Sioux City area. To maintain the high level of service Meier Towing sends it's people to industry specific outside training courses as well as in house training. All of Meier Towing's driver force is certified either thru the Towing and Recovery Association of America or Wreckmaster Inc. Jeff is a TRAA level 3 Heavyduty Specialist, a Wreckmaster level 6/7, was recongnized as a Top Ten Wreckmaster of 2010. Jeff was also nominated by the Sioux City Police Department to receive the American Towman Order of Towman Medal in 2011. Fast 24 Hour Service Heavy Duty Towing and Recovery Our 4 heavy duty tow trucks are ready to serve you at a moments notice. We can tow and recover straight trucks to tractor-trailers. Also pull starting of trucks. Our tow trucks and equipment can shift loads that the road has put out of place on your trailer. We can deck and undeck trucks and trailers. We can travel as far as you need your truck to go coast to coast. We have handled tractor trailers as heavy as 160,000 lbs. Flatbed Towing We have 2 lightduty flatbed tow trucks, 1 medium duty flatbed tow truck, and 1 sliding axle tractor trailer. The lightduty flatbeds can haul your exoitc car tying it down by the tires not even touching the car itself. Our mediumduty flatbed can haul cars to light construction equipment to forklifts. The sliding axle tractor trailer can haul equipment weighing up to 40,000 lbs. Light Duty Towing and Recovery 6 light duty tow trucks are ready to serve you. We can jumpstart, unlock, provide gas, change your flat tire or tow your car or pick-up truck. All of our light duty tow trucks are auto load equipt for fast damage free service in any weather.

I used these guys through the roadside on my phone. Got to me faster then they had promised and the driver was very helpful. He even gave me a ride home after dropping my car off at the dealer.
My wife and I are snow birds and we were on are way home to South Dakota when we had trouble with our truck pulling our camper. Gordon from Meier Towing came out to help us on the highway. He set us up at a local shop that got us fixed and back on the way home. Thank You so much for taking good care of us.
I had started my car to warm it up before I had to go to work and the darn thing locked on me automaticlly. I called Meier and Tim showed up to open my door in less than 20 minutes. I still made it to work on time. Thanks Tim and Meier Towing.
My car was in automobile accident and my car was towed to Meier Towing on December 11, 2009. When I checked on my vehicle, I was told that I needed to bring my title to them and that I would be charged $ 17,50 per day for each day the vehicle remained in Meier's yard. I had just moved my household items into four different storage containers and had had about 49 hour of sleep total over the period of three weeks because we were being evicted and I didn't know how much time I had to get my belongings our of our old house! In addition, my title to the /Dodge Grand Caravan I totaled was packed away and for a fee of $ 25 the Sioux City DMV would deliver a new title to me in five days (actually almost nine days since this happened over the Christmas vacation period in 2009!) I was able to retrieve most of my belongings from the van before Christmas but when I returned on Monday, December 28, 2009 with the new title in hand, I was told that I owed $446+ IN CASH--which I did not have because
