CareSouth Carolina is a private, nonprofit health and human services provider, offering a comprehensive range of primary care services. The center is designated as an Area Agency on Aging, and is affiliated by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations. It provides a full range of women s services, including annual exams, ultrasounds for gynecology evaluations, family planning, and screening for sexually transmitted infections. The center also provides obstetrical, pediatric, geriatric, health education, laboratory, radiology, and nutrition services. CareSouth Carolina is located in Hartsville, S.C. Formerly known as Society Hill Family Health Clinic, it operates medical centers in seven communities in the Pee Dee region of South Carolina, including Bennettsville, Bishopville, Cheraw, Hartsville, Lake View, McColl, and Society Hill. The center s business unit, Vantage Point, contracts with more than 10 local area providers to deliver services to over 6,000 elderly clients in the Pee Dee region.
